In Florida, Medicaid eligibility is determined by the Florida Department of Children and Families, Office of Economic Self Sufficiency.  Medicaid provides medical coverage to low income families and individuals.  DCF will determine eligibility for:

  • Low income families with children
  • Children only
  • Women who are pregnant
  • Non-citizens who have medical emergences
  • Aged and/or disabled individuals not currently receiving Supplemental Security Income
