Stalking
According to Florida Statute Section 784.048, Jacksonville Stalking occurs when a defendant maliciously follows, harasses, or cyberstalks another repeatedly. Jacksonville Stalking is a first degree misdemeanor.
Jacksonville Aggravated Stalking can occurs in the following situtations:
- While stalking another, the defendant goes a step further and makes a credible threat with the intent to place another in reasonable fear of bodily injury or death to himself or a close family member.
- An injunction for protection against violence or a court order prohibiting violent conduct has been issued against the defendant, and the defendant continues to stalk the subject.
- A defendant stalks a minor (under 16-years-old).
