Under Florida Statute Section 893.135(1)(h), Trafficking in Gamma-Hydroxybutyric Acid (GHB) occurs when the defendant sells, delivers, manufactures, or possesses one kilogram or more of GHB.
In Jacksonville, Florida, trafficking in GHB carries a minimum mandatory sentence which depends on the amount of GHB involved. If the amount of GHB trafficked is one kilogram, but less than 5 kilograms, the minimum mandatory sentence is three years. Greater than five kilograms, but less than ten kilograms of GHB carries a sentence of seven years. Anything more than that carries a sentence of 15 years in Florida State Prison.
