Aggravated Child Abuse

Under Florida Statute Section 827.03(2), aggravated child abuse occurs when the defendant commits one of the following on a child:
  1. aggravated battery,
  2. willfully tortured, 
  3. maliciously punished,
  4. willfully and unlawfully caged, or 
  5. willfully committed child abuse causing great bodily harm or permanent disability or disfigurement.
