False Imprisonment
According to Florida Statute Section 787.02, Jacksonville False Imprisonment occurs when the Jacksonville defendant:
Jacksonville False Imprisonment can be a first-degree felony if:
- Forcibly, secretly or by threat confined, abducted, or imprisoned the alleged victim against his or her will, and
- has no lawful authority to do this.
Jacksonville False Imprisonment can be a first-degree felony if:
- it is committed on a child under 13 years old and
- the defendant committed an offense listed in Florida Statute Section 787.02(3)(a) while committing the Jacksonville False Imprisonment.
